Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Guthrie County Hospital & Clinics believes wearing a mask is an important first line of defense against COVID-19.
We are continuing our masking policy within our facilities to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff. Social distancing and hand washing also reduce the spread of infection.
Guthrie County Hospital Fitness Center will remain open to the public with the following restrictions remaining in place:
- A temperature check and health screening questions will be required upon arrival at every visit for all members.
- Fitness Center members will be required to sign an attestation form that states you are not sick and understand the risks of working out in a public space.
- The 6’ social distancing rule remains in place. Machines may be taped off to enforce this rule.
You will need to supply and wear your own mask if present during patient care hours, Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. while using Fitness Center equipment.
While encouraged, a mask is not required Monday-Friday from 5:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. as well as Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – Noon.
The walking track will be open but please practice social distancing. Sneakers Café is not open to the public, so please do not enter that area.
We will re-evaluate this decision in March.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time. Thank you to all those members who have stayed with GCH and supported our mission work during this national health crisis.
