Guthrie County Hospital is excited to announce the opening of the Stuart Rehab Clinic located in the lower level of GCH Clinics building on Fremont Street in Stuart. The newly renovated space offers Physical Therapy for a variety of physical problems from strains and pains to disabilities related to walking and balance. We have a Nustep (recumbent stepper), bike and treadmill. Weight equipment includes leg press, chest press, rowing and lat pull down capabilities. We offer ultrasound, electrical stimulation, cervical and lumbar traction.
We also offer Occupational Therapy services at this location. Our Occupational therapist can treat people of all ages, including newborns, children, adults and elderly individuals. Our therapist enables people to live life to its fullest by helping them promote health and prevent—or live better with—illness, injury or disability. An occupational therapist works closely with other health care providers, such as nurses, physical therapists and speech therapists. Our occupational therapist works with patients in acute care, skilled care and in the outpatient setting. We have the equipment needed to provide therapy for a variety of medical conditions.
Our rehab team continues to contract with Guthrie County Public Health Nursing to see home-bound patients in home for physical, occupational and speech therapy. Our staff primarily works out of the hospital in the fitness center providing inpatient, skilled care, and outpatient therapies.
At this time, we are offering Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy but as the business grows, we hope to expand Speech Therapy services at the Stuart Rehab Clinic. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 515-523-8049.
