The Board of Trustees (the “Board”) of the Guthrie County Hospital (the “Hospital”) will
meet on the 23rd day of October, 2025, in the Todd-Neff Conference Room at the hospital
facilities located at 710 N. 12th Street, Guthrie Center, Iowa (the “Hospital Campus”), at 4:00
p.m. for the purpose of instituting proceedings and taking action to issue its hospital revenue
bonds or notes (the “Bonds”) and borrow money in a principal amount not to exceed
$44,000,000 to undertake improvement projects for the renovation and expansion of the
Hospital’s facilities to include, without limitation, expanding outpatient service areas, improving
main entry and common areas, expanding radiology service areas, including a new MRI,
expanding physical and occupational therapy areas, updating the surgical suite and certain
inpatient and surgical rooms, and other facility and site improvements (the “Project”) all located
at 710 N. 12th Street, Guthrie Center, Iowa (the “Hospital Campus”), including the funding of
any reserve funds, and paying costs of issuance and other associated costs and expenses related
to the Bonds. The Project will be owned and operated by the Hospital.
The Hospital’s obligations to repay the Bonds will be payable solely and only from the
net revenues of the Hospital.
The Hospital proposes to borrow the money in the foregoing principal amount pursuant
to authority contained in Chapter 347 of the Code of Iowa. The Hospital plans to provide
interim financing for a portion or all of the costs of the Project through the issuance of bonds,
notes or other obligations (the “Interim Obligations”) pursuant to authority contained in Section
76.13 and Chapter 347 of the Code of Iowa, which Interim Obligations will be issued in
anticipation of the issuance of the Bonds and will be payable from the proceeds of the Bonds,
the net revenues of the Hospital and/or other sources.
At the aforementioned time and place, oral or written objections may be filed or made to
the proposal to borrow such money. After receiving objections, the Board of the Hospital may
determine to borrow such money, in which case, the decision will be final unless appealed to the
District Court within fifteen (15) days thereafter.
